About The Position

This position involves developing, constructing, and testing layered structures for the generation of terahertz light. The role also includes developing new methods to characterize the output from terahertz generation materials and studying the use of terahertz light to excite chiral motion in materials. Applicants are required to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend. All employees are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry completed by the start date.
• 2-3 years of Chemistry lab experience (post-undergrad) working with terahertz generation materials.
• Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
• Must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
• Must support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of the affiliated church.
