About The Position
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University is accepting applications for part-time faculty to teach a variety of chemistry and biochemistry courses. Our department currently serves about 3000 undergraduate students each year. We offer a wide variety of courses for chemistry majors, other STEM majors, general education, and pre-health professional students. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is actively committed to increasing the success of all students, attracting faculty and students with a range of backgrounds and experiences, and sustaining a welcoming work and learning environment.
Requirements
- A demonstrated commitment to increasing the success of all students is required.
Nice To Haves
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is preferred or a M.S with at least 18 hours of graduate course work.
Responsibilities
- Successful candidates will teach lecture or laboratory classes in their area of specialty.
- There is the greatest need for instructors in general education courses as well as laboratory instruction in general chemistry.
