About The Position

Within the organization’s framework, the Psychiatrist provides professional assessment, counseling, treatment, referrals, and advocacy services for people served. The role is responsible for upholding high-quality care in accordance with standards and bylaws established by government agencies, Pine Rest, and the client hospital or agency. The Psychiatrist is expected to demonstrate excellent customer service and enthusiasm for the program and Pine Rest organization.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree.
Current Michigan State license as a physician and surgeon.
Completion of an accredited four-year psychiatric residency program.
May require National Certification in Psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or board eligibility within five years.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, counseling, and treatment to people served.
Provide referrals and advocacy services.
Uphold high-quality care and comply with applicable standards and bylaws set by government agencies, Pine Rest, and the client hospital or agency.
Demonstrate excellent customer service and enthusiasm for the program and Pine Rest organization.
