About The Position

Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the School of Business and Technology. Adjunct professors are responsible for delivering professional quality work as teaching faculty members. This includes conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum, preparing and delivering lectures, compiling, administering, and grading examinations, and providing academic assistance to students. As an FSW adjunct, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the college mission to inspire students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'. Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with your profile to strengthen your candidacy. If transcripts are not uploaded for review, your application could be dismissed.

Requirements

  • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

Responsibilities

  • Conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College
  • Preparing and delivering lectures to students
  • Compiling, administering and grading examinations
  • Providing academic assistance to students as needed
