About The Position

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes for the WPI Business School at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Positions are created to maintain an available applicant pool and will be filled as needed. Start dates vary by course and semester. Qualified applicants will be contacted by the academic department when an opening is anticipated. Applications remain in the pool until the posting closes; applicants must reapply to be considered for positions beyond that date.

Adjunct faculty teach from an established curriculum while incorporating their personal expertise and experience, provide students with timely feedback, and grade coursework. Applicants should review the WPI course catalog and identify Business School courses they may be qualified to teach. Compensation is $6,000 per undergraduate course and $6,500 per graduate course.

Requirements

• Prior experience teaching college-level courses.
• A master’s degree in a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

• A PhD in a related discipline.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Experience with the Canvas learning management system.
