About The Position

Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites applications for part-time adjunct teaching faculty in the WPI Business School. Faculty may teach day and/or evening classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. These positions maintain an applicant pool and are filled as needed; start dates vary by course and semester. Qualified applicants will be contacted when the academic department anticipates an opening. Applications remain in the pool until the posting closes, after which applicants must reapply to be considered for future positions.

Adjunct faculty teach from an established curriculum while incorporating their expertise and experience, provide timely feedback to students, and grade coursework. Applicants should review the WPI course catalog and identify Business School courses they may be qualified to teach. Compensation is $6,000 per undergraduate course and $6,500 per graduate course.

Requirements

• Prior experience teaching college-level courses.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
• Identify Business School courses in the WPI course catalog that the applicant may be qualified to teach.

Nice To Haves

• PhD in a related discipline.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Experience with the Canvas learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business School classes at the undergraduate and/or graduate level during the day and/or evening.
• Teach from the established curriculum while incorporating personal expertise and experience.
• Provide students with timely feedback.
• Grade student work.
