About The Position
The Fermanian School of Business at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) is seeking candidates to teach in its Traditional Undergraduate, Bachelor of Business Administration, Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership, and Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership programs. PLNU is a Christian liberal arts university in the evangelical, Wesleyan tradition, committed to providing higher education in a vibrant Christian environment that engages and challenges minds, models and forms character, and fosters service as an expression of faith. Requirements
- Master's in a specified discipline from an accredited college
- Commitment to teaching excellence required
- A minimum of five years related work experience required
- Thorough commitment to the concept of Christian liberal arts education and a desire to work in a Christian university
- Supportive of the religious and educational goals of the university and its sponsoring denomination
- Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement
- Agree to live in agreement with PLNU’s Community Life Covenant
- Ability to learn Point Loma Nazarene University's online course management system
- Ability to successfully interact with students, other educators and educational institution representatives, and the general public in a professional manner
Nice To Haves
- One year of teaching experience in higher education preferred

Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate or graduate courses
- Invest in students
- Participate in institution activities as appropriate
- Involve students in research or professional experience as appropriate
- Teach one or more classes in the following areas: Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Leadership, Economics, Data-Driven Decision Making, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Sustainability, International Business, Business Communications, Business Law, Organizational Behavior, Operations Management
Benefits
- PLNU Adjunct faculty are paid $2,283 per unit. Total compensation varies based on the number of units assigned for each course.
