About The Position

Covenant Christian Academy offers a Christian and Classical education that builds students� academic, spiritual, and social foundations for lives marked by leadership and service in today�s global community. A Covenant education prepares students to excel in collegiate studies and intellectual pursuits, nurtures Christian faith and character, and fosters individual gifts and abilities. Covenant Christian Academy is seeking qualified music educators to join our growing private lesson and ensemble program. We are currently seeking instructors in one or more of the following areas: Piano, Voice, Violin, Grammar School String Ensemble, Upper School String Ensemble. Candidates may apply for one specialty area or multiple areas based on their qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong musicianship, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage students within a distinctly Christian and Classical educational environment. We are especially interested in instructors who are willing to invest in the long-term growth of our music program and commit to teaching for two years or more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related music field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Experience teaching private music lessons and/or ensembles
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and abilities
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Covenant Christian Academy
  • Ability to integrate a Christian worldview into instruction and mentorship
  • Willingness to sign Covenant Christian Academy's Statement of Faith and Core Values
  • Expected to maintain the highest standards of Christian character and personal conduct, serving as role models for students, families, faculty, and staff in judgment, dignity, respect, and Christian living.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality private music instruction to students
  • Prepare students for recitals, performances, and other program opportunities
  • Maintain communication with families regarding student progress
  • Collaborate with school administration regarding scheduling and program needs
  • Direct grammar school and/or upper school string ensembles, if applicable
  • Serve as a positive Christian role model for students
