About The Position

The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Legal and Ethical Principles in Health Care on our Main Campus. This course introduces students to major ethical theories, principles, and decision-making models that form the basis for resolution of ethical dilemmas in the health care field. Guidelines for legal and ethical practice are also examined from the context of regulatory requirements established by accrediting and certifying agencies.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree (or higher) in: Health Care Administration OR Health Administration OR Nursing OR in any related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional health care experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students
  • Proficiency in English, grammar, and APA writing
  • Commitment to modeling GCU’s mission and values
  • Must be able to teach at the Phoenix Main Campus on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 AM -10:45 AM, from September 8, 2026 - December 20, 2026
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen.

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards
  • Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University’s mission and pillars
  • Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care
  • Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University
  • Provide a positive example by supporting GCU’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission
