About The Position

The College of Engineering and Technology at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. This role involves facilitating classroom lectures and discussions, assessing student performance, and mentoring students to prepare them for the continuously changing worlds of IT and Engineering. Faculty are expected to be experts in their fields and provide a positive example by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission. The course, Deep Learning, covers the theory and practice of deep learning, including neural networks, convolutional networks, and recurrent networks, and their application to image, speech, and natural language processing problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Computer Science or Bachelor in Statistics or closely related degree
  • 18 graduate credits in AI
  • Unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
  • Unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Science in Computer Science OR Master's in Statistics or closely related degree
  • Proficiency in AI theoretical concepts and Python
