Adjunct Lecturer - Paralegal Studies
About The Position
The ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program at Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) seeks qualified individuals to add to its part-time Adjunct Lecturer pool. Qualified applicants may be contacted if an opportunity consistent with their qualifications becomes available. Courses in the Paralegal Studies Program are offered in online and remote (synchronous) formats, in compliance with both ABA’s specific guidelines for paralegal education and SoPA’s requirements for online course development. All Adjunct Lecturers must complete SoPA’s self-guided training for teachers, adhere to SoPA’s pedagogical requirements, and complete required training on current with institutional and instructional platforms. Openings for Adjunct Lecturers vary, depending on the Program’s department teaching needs and upon the subject matter experience of specific candidates. Candidates should submit their application and materials and will be contacted if a need in their area of expertise arises. Applicants should direct all inquiries regarding this posting to the Program Director through Tulane University, and not through third-party platforms. The Program may need additional Adjunct Lecturers to teach undergraduate online or remote courses in Paralegal Studies that may include: Intro to the Legal System, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Litigation, Legal Technology, Legal Ethics.
Requirements
- Subject matter expertise in Paralegal Studies.
- Qualified to teach courses such as: Intro to the Legal System, Legal Research, Legal Writing, Litigation, Legal Technology, Legal Ethics.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate online or remote courses in Paralegal Studies.
- Complete SoPA’s self-guided training for teachers.
