CANDIDATE POOL - Adjunct Instructor, Math
About The Position
Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) is seeking candidates for a candidate pool for Adjunct Instructor, Math positions for the 2024-2025 school year. These positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. Under the supervision of the Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, the faculty member will be responsible for planning, delivering, and supervising instruction to a diverse student population. This role supports student success and assesses student progress in alignment with the College's Student Success Plan initiatives. The successful candidate will possess documented expertise in their teaching areas and will collaborate with faculty and staff to foster an environment of trust and respect for student success.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the field or Master's with 18 credits of graduate-level work specific to the field.
- College teaching experience, high school teaching experience, or adult education experience.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

- Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management system.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more courses in developmental math, statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus.
- Conduct classes, prepare for instruction, and assess student performance.
- Provide student assistance by appointment.
- Collaborate with other division faculty and adjuncts to ensure consistent learning objectives.
- Engage in professional development and required training.
- Attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
- Teach courses across different modalities, including online, hybrid, and face-to-face.
- Meet all College policies and administrative deadlines.
