About The Position

This posting is for a candidate pool for anticipated vacancies for the 2025-2026 school year. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. The college is located on 35 acres of the Springfield Armory National Historic Site and was founded in 1967. It is a major resource for the economic vitality of Western Massachusetts. As the only technical community college in Massachusetts, STCC offers a variety of career programs unequalled in the state. STCC's highly-regarded transfer programs in Business, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Science and Technology continue to provide the most economical option for students pursuing a four-year degree. Requirements

Master's degree within the field or 18 credits of graduate level work specific to the field.
College teaching experience, high school teaching experience, or adult education experience.
All candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
Candidates for employment should be aware that all STCC employees are required to complete Information Awareness Security Training within thirty days of their orientation date and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

Teaches a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field.
Conducts classes.
Prepares for instruction.
Assesses student performance.
Provides student assistance by appointment.
Engages in professional development and required trainings.
Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.
