About The Position

This position is for an Adjunct Instructor in Interdisciplinary Studies, specifically to teach Healthcare Ethics. The course fulfills General Education requirements in Ethics and the Common Good, aiming to provide students with insights into responding to ethical issues from clinical, administrative, and financial perspectives, as well as an understanding of ethical theories rooted in philosophical and theological foundations. The role is employed on a per-load-unit basis for a given semester or term, with contracted responsibilities primarily focused on course delivery, including mentoring, preparation, teaching, grading, and holding office hours. Additional responsibilities may include advising, course development, or other departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Experience in teaching or a related field
  • Ability to articulate why diversity and inclusive excellence matter as a person of faith and in their profession
  • Ability to speak to how they will contribute to the advancement of diversity and inclusive excellence through teaching-learning, research, institutional service, and public engagement
