About The Position
Wilson Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for potential future class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time. Applicants will be contacted in the future after a review of qualifications. Part-time/adjunct faculty are responsible for providing quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered for teaching disciplines in Art, Humanities, or Philosophy.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Art, Humanities, or Philosophy, OR a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in one of the teaching disciplines.
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) to five (5) years of teaching experience
- Experience with online instruction
- Experience with Moodle
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes
- Maintain and submit accurate attendance
- Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades
- Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner
- Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor
