About The Position

Oakland Community College (OCC) is a large, student-centered community college in Oakland County, Michigan, serving over 12,000 students across multiple campuses. OCC is seeking Adjunct Faculty Instructors who are committed to diversity, shared responsibility, open communication, personal empowerment, integrity, and ethical conduct. A key requirement for this role is the commitment to utilizing modern technology in the classroom. The primary duty of this position is to teach anticipated day and/or evening Humanities courses, covering basic to advanced skill levels. Current needs include instructors for Art Appreciation, Film Studies, and World Religions/Bible. Applications are accepted continuously and placed in a candidate pool, with hiring occurring on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year based on enrollment. Adjuncts may be required to maintain or provide specific licensure and certifications. Candidates not residing in Michigan will be Edustaff employees, with employment offers, salary, and benefits managed by Edustaff, not OCC. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Humanities or any of the visual or literary or performing arts (for Art Appreciation).
  • Master's degree in Film, Communications with a concentration in Film, or Humanities with a concentration in Film (for Film Studies).
  • Master's degree in Religion (for World Religions and Bible).
  • Submit current resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts for all relevant degrees earned.
  • Transcripts must reflect the date the degree was awarded.
  • If hired, official transcripts will be required within 30 days of hire.

  • Online teaching experience.

Responsibilities
