About The Position
New York Institute of Technology's six schools and colleges offer undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and professional degree programs in in-demand disciplines. The Humanities Department at New York Institute of Technology is seeking a part-time writing instructor to teach on the Long Island (Old Westbury, NY) or New York City (New York, NY) campuses beginning in Spring 2027.
Requirements
- M.A. in English, or closely related field.
- Previous successful college-level teaching experience, including online courses.
- Familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management systems.

Responsibilities
- Teach in-person and/or online (asynchronous) undergraduate writing courses, including first-year composition and research writing.
