About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), a multi-campus institution in Upstate NY, is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Adjunct Faculty team starting in the Fall 2026 semester. HVCC, part of the SUNY system, offers over 80 degree and certificate programs and serves nearly 9,000 students annually. Requirements

• Master’s Degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.
• Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with online delivery systems (D2L Brightspace) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in the Business department.
• Teach specific Health Information Management and Technology courses: HITC 100, Introduction to Medical Office Procedures; HITC 200 Medical Billing, Insurance and Health Record Review; HITC 210 Health Information and Physician Practice Management.
• Evaluate student performance.
• Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
• At the direction of the Department Chairperson, Adjunct faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
