About The Position
This posting is for a candidate pool for anticipated vacancies for the 2024-2025 school year. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions. The role involves teaching a standard range of courses expected in the first two years of a degree program in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or master's degree in a related field and 18 credits of graduate level work specific to the field of Early Childhood Education.
- College teaching experience, high school teaching experience, or adult education experience.
Nice To Haves
- Successful community college teaching experience.
- Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
- Commitment to fostering inclusiveness, equity and diversity within the academic setting.
- Teaching experience with Early College students or at the High School level.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college.
- Experience building and facilitating asynchronous or hybrid courses using a standard learning management system.
Responsibilities
- Conducts on campus day and evening classes.
- Prepares for instruction.
- Assesses student performance.
- Provides student assistance by appointment.
- Engages in professional development and required trainings.
- Attends a limited number of faculty meetings.
