(Pool) Adjunct Instructor - Developmental Math

About The Position

Wilson Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for potential future openings in class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time. Qualified applicants will be contacted if a suitable role becomes available. The role involves providing quality, effective instruction on a part-time, temporary basis, specifically teaching the self-paced Transition Math course. The instructor will focus on helping students build strong foundational math skills to prepare them for college-level gateway math courses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Math Education, or related field is required.
  • Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years of experience in teaching basic mathematical skills is preferred.
  • Experience with online instruction is preferred.
  • Experience with Moodle and EdReady is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes.
  • Maintain and submit accurate attendance records.
  • Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades.
  • Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner.
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor.
