(Pool) Adjunct Instructor - Math

About The Position

Wilson Community College is seeking to expand its pool of part-time/adjunct faculty for potential future class instruction. These positions may or may not be available at this time. Applicants will be contacted if their qualifications meet future needs. Part-time/adjunct faculty are responsible for providing quality, effective instruction in assigned courses on a part-time, temporary basis. Only qualified, credentialed applicants will be considered. The role involves teaching a variety of mathematics courses, including math measurement, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, and quantitative literacy.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mathematics or a master’s degree and at least 18 graduate hours in mathematics

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of teaching experience
  • Experience with online instruction
  • Experience with Moodle

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned online, day, and/or evening classes
  • Maintain and submit accurate attendance
  • Maintain accurate academic records, such as syllabi and grades
  • Submit required forms and documents in a timely manner
  • Maintain consistent communication with students and supervisor
