About The Position

The Graduate School of Professional Psychology (GSPP) at the University of Denver (DU) is seeking adjunct faculty instructors to teach various courses within the Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) program for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a posting for multiple openings. The PsyD program, established in 1976, is a practice-focused program built on rigorous academic coursework, in-house and community-based clinical work, and departmental mentorship. GSPP emphasizes a practitioner-scholar model, integrating applied practice, theory, research, and scholarship, and fosters a collegial atmosphere that values cooperation, collaboration, creativity, teamwork, and innovation. The school is strongly committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and those who may have taken nontraditional career paths. Adjunct faculty are expected to complete DU-wide online training, plan and teach courses (which may be on-campus or online via Zoom), be available to students, respond to inquiries, and adhere to all university policies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology or related field.
  • Demonstrated current and relevant expertise.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field (doctoral degree required for core classes, master’s degree acceptable for electives).
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and teach courses, which may be on-campus or online using Zoom.
  • Be available to meet with students online or in-person.
  • Respond to student questions.
  • Assign and grade papers and exams as appropriate.
  • Adhere to all relevant DU policies and procedures.
  • Complete DU-wide online training.
