About The Position

Casper College is seeking applicants for the position of Adjunct Spanish instructor. This position will teach courses within the World Languages curriculum for the School of Fine Arts & Humanities. The successful applicant will be available to teach day and/or evening classes. This is a part-time position.

Requirements

Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Spanish, or a Master’s Degree in a closely related field (e.g., linguistics or second language acquisition) with eighteen (18) graduate hours in Spanish
Ability to speak Spanish at an advanced or superior level

Responsibilities

Review and distribute course syllabi to each class.
Follow standard course design designated by the Dean or School.
Arrange for the acquisition and preparation of appropriate materials and equipment necessary to meet course objectives.
Perform basic reporting duties including grade reports.
Teach designated course(s).
Prepare syllabi and schedules for each course.
Develop lesson plans.
Procure appropriate materials needed for course instruction.
Reporting duties including student grade data.
Utilize active learning strategies to assist the learner in meeting the course objectives.
Participate in all required meetings and events as requested by the department or administration.
Be available to students for questions and assistance with coursework.
