Requirements

  • M.A. or Ph.D. in English or related fields
  • Demonstrated active engagement in pedagogical development and scholarship
  • Strong communication and instructional skills
  • Commitment to inclusive excellence and student success

Nice To Haves

  • Prior college-level teaching experience
  • Experience with learning management systems and online teaching platforms
  • Professional licensure or industry certifications (where applicable)
  • Experience working with diverse and first-generation student populations

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in assigned discipline
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction (in-person, hybrid, or online as assigned)
  • Maintain office hours (1 hour per class per week) and advise students concerning their coursework
  • Maintain regular communication with students and department leadership
  • Uphold university academic policies and integrity standards
