About The Position

The Department of World Languages in the Ric Edelman College of Communication, Humanities and Social Sciences at Rowan University is seeking applicants for a general talent pool to fill adjunct faculty positions as they become available. This pool includes positions for American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in the target language or allied fields (such as an MA in language, literature, or culture, an MA in applied linguistics/language pedagogy, or an MST or MEd with a specialization in the target language).
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in one or more of the following languages: American Sign Language (ASL), Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
  • Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught
  • Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
