About The Position

University College at Rowan University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach courses. These courses may include: Rowan 101: College Success - RS, Financial Wellness: Planning for Personal Financial Success, Well-Being and Thriving in Action, Introduction to Health Professions, and Career Planning & Development. Applications will be screened on a rolling basis as additional sections of courses are added. Applications will be retained for possible future semesters of employment. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, and the University will not sponsor a visa for this position.

Requirements

  • Current employees of Rowan University, holding a separate primary role at the University.
  • Master’s degree, preferably with a focus on Higher Education, Counseling in Educational Settings, Student Affairs, or related field.
  • Demonstrate significant experience providing services to college students professionally.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the subject matter of the courses and transition needs of the student population as relates to a specific course.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous college teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses offered by University College.
  • Provide instruction aligned with the subject matter of the courses.
  • Address the transition needs of the student population as they relate to specific courses.

Benefits

  • Minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught.
  • Maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
