About The Position
The Morgridge College of Education is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach various graduate courses within the Teaching and Learning Sciences department, specifically in the Curriculum and Instruction program. The specific courses may vary. More details about the courses can be found on the Registrar’s Office schedule of classes. This posting is for multiple openings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Requirements
- Masters or terminal degree (depending on the course)
- Teaching experience in K12 setting OR higher education
- Successful teaching/facilitation experience with adults at the graduate level
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience in both K12 setting and higher education
- Experience with inclusive pedagogy and commitment to inclusion
- Experience using technology to facilitate adult learning
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate level courses
- Collaborate with faculty course lead to adapt and deliver course
- Create and maintain course Canvas container
- Meet with students as needed
- Respond to student communication in a timely manner
- Assign papers, exams, and other deliverables as appropriate
- Grade in a timely manner
- Maintain regular communication with the faculty lead, particularly if a student-related issue arises
