About The Position
American University is seeking to fill adjunct faculty vacancies in the Department of Peace, Human Rights & Cultural Relations within the School of International Service. Adjunct faculty are integral to the university community, contributing professional experience and scholarly expertise to enrich the curriculum. They teach on campus, in online programs, and work with students individually. The Department of Peace, Human Rights & Cultural Relations focuses on eliminating violence through theoretical, policy-oriented, and ethical research, and educates students in conflict resolution, human rights, international and intercultural communication, economic justice, and the roles of various actors. The School of International Service, established in 1957, is a top-tier school of international affairs located in Washington, D.C., preparing students for global careers and fostering transformational research.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Deliver services from either the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, or perform work on-site at the university.
