About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of professionals and leaders. As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. GCU’s College of Theology exists to educate students to communicate the gospel effectively, serve the church faithfully and minister with integrity at home and abroad. Adjuncts instructors for COT will provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University. This course analyzes the practical dimensions of systematic theology and assists students in making critical connections between biblical teaching and ministry within specific contexts. Emphasis is placed on faithful biblically rooted ministry, including a focus on prayer, evangelism, discipleship, and church leadership. This course requires supervised ministry hours. Practicum/field experience hours: 45. GCU's Christian worldview has shaped the university's mission and growth for more than 65 years. Requirements

  • PhD from an accredited college or university with coursework in theology or related field
  • At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level
  • Unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
  • Unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
