Adjunct Faculty – Christian Worldview – College of Theology (Fall 2026)
About The Position
Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of professionals and leaders. As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. GCU’s College of Theology exists to educate students to communicate the gospel effectively, serve the church faithfully and minister with integrity at home and abroad. Adjuncts instructors for COT will provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University. This specific course, Christian Worldview, explores the big questions that make up a worldview, such as "Why are we here?" and "What is my purpose?" Students examine how Christians answer these questions and work on exploring their own worldviews, as well as learning how worldview influences one’s perceptions, decision-making, and everyday life. GCU's Christian worldview has shaped the university's mission and growth for more than 65 years. As a Christ-centered higher education institution, GCU integrates faith, learning and work to connect the GCU community with distinct Christian principles and strong central values.
Requirements
- Masters in Divinity (PhD preferred)
- Attach unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
- Attach unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees
Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
- Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
- Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University
