About The Position

Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate adjunct instructors to help prepare the next generation of professionals and leaders. As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. GCU’s College of Theology exists to educate students to communicate the gospel effectively, serve the church faithfully and minister with integrity at home and abroad. Adjuncts instructors for COT will provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University. This course surveys cardinal doctrines of the Christian faith, including revelation, God, humanity, Christ, and salvation. Emphasis is placed on the development of sound theology grounded in biblical understandings and practical wisdom for ministry. Some attention is given to the historical development of doctrine.

Requirements

  • PhD from an accredited college or university in systematic theology or related field
  • At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level
  • Unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
  • Unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Responsibilities
