About The Position

The Hampton Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for an Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses, including critical thinking, logic, reasoning, and ethics. This role involves fostering academic excellence, instructing students according to College policies, and encouraging student participation in College activities and extracurricular functions. The position requires staying current in the teaching field through professional development and timely submission of administrative paperwork. Additionally, the role includes coordinating student internships, assisting in recruiting internship sites, and promoting campus activities. Instruction may be provided in various formats, including day, evening, and/or weekend classes, and through face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities. Technological proficiency, including Microsoft products (Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard), is essential.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Philosophy
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Leadership, integrity, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Corresponds routinely with the Dean of Instruction.
  • Fosters academic excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Instruct students in accordance with College policies/curricula.
  • Effectively prepares for class and encourages students to participate in College activities.
  • Supports College extracurricular functions.
  • Remains current in the teaching field through professional development.
  • Prepares and submits Beginning-of-Term and End-of-Term paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinates student internships and assists in recruiting internship sites.
  • Promotes campus activities.
  • Provides instruction for day, evening, and/or weekend classes.
  • Provides instruction in face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities.
  • Maintains technological proficiency, including Microsoft products (Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard).
