About The Position

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach PMGT 500 – Foundations of Project Management Online at our Worldwide Campus. In this course, students will be introduced to the project management profession and international methodologies. The role of the project manager will be examined through performance and personal competencies. Additionally, the organization's governance is considered as a foundation for project success. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Requirements

  • Doctor’s degree in teaching discipline, or a Doctorate degree with a concentration in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
  • Appropriate Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Project selection and project governance
  • Any earned doctorate along with Project Management Professional certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • The PMP must be kept current to remain certified for this course.
  • Maintaining PMP currency requires documentation of Professional Development Units through the PMI organization.
  • Current experience for applicants that possess valid degrees but the degrees are over seven years old is required.
  • Must be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training.
  • Able to support work from all U.S. states except California.
