About The Position

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking online adjunct faculty for its Game Design and Development program for Global Campus. This remote position involves engaging students in an asynchronous and inclusive learning environment by providing guidance, resources, instruction, and feedback within a pre-developed online course. The goal is to support students in achieving their learning and career goals. The role requires prioritizing student engagement, sharing expertise, offering constructive feedback and assessment, and facilitating online discussions. The faculty will report to the faculty dean team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Game Development, Game Art, Game Programming, Game Design, or related field.
2 years experience in Game Development/Interactive Media; Game Programming; Game Design; or Game Art
Knowledge and understanding of Unreal Engine; Unity; Intro Programming Logic; Basic 3D Asset Integration; Simple Gameplay Prototyping; Industry Pipeline Awareness

Nice To Haves

Unreal/Unity preferred
Scrum, Agile, UX strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Engage students in an asynchronous and inclusive learning environment by providing guidance and resources in a pre-developed online course.
Support students by providing instruction, feedback, and experiential and application-based learning.
Prioritize Student Engagement – Work with students by responding within set timeframes and reaching out proactively to students needing additional support.
Recognize student needs holistically and connect them with resources.
Encourage participation, collaboration, and strong faculty-student relationships to enhance learning and build skills.
Stay current in your field of expertise, share your experience, and recommend relevant supplementary materials to enhance student understanding of course content.
Find accessible ways to explain complex topics.
Evaluate student work and provide individualized, constructive feedback within set timeframes to promote growth and mastery of course outcomes.
Encourage student interaction through active participation in online discussions while fostering an inclusive, engaging, and respectful environment that promotes open dialogue and diverse perspectives.
