Adjunct Faculty of Mathematics
About The Position
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Assumption University seeks to hire part-time adjunct instructors to staff several sections of MAT 114: Elementary Functions, a course in algebra and precalculus. The courses are in-person, and all faculty are required to keep office hours: two hours per class section. Adjuncts are welcomed as important contributors to the department and to our students. They are provided with office space, email, voicemail, support for using our learning management system (Brightspace), and other resources needed for quality teaching. Successful candidates may have the possibility of teaching additional courses in subsequent semesters.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Mathematics or in a related field.
- ABD graduate students with prior teaching experience will also be considered.
- Willingness to contribute actively to the mission of the University.
- Willingness to show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
