About The Position

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Adjunct Faculty for Non-Credit Community Education. CMC requires employees to perform their assigned duties within the State of Colorado and accurately report their work location. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position required with teaching in continuing education or community education.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
  • Constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving.
  • Occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling.
  • Frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant written and oral communication.
  • Ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally.
  • Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily.
  • Driving a vehicle occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching course load as assigned.
  • Teaching classes as assigned by designated supervisor.
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
  • Develop a professional relationship with students & staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
  • Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
  • When agreed upon, and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
  • Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
  • Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5.
  • A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20-$60 per hour.
  • Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.
