About The Position

Colorado Mountain College (CMC) is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for its Non-Credit Art program. CMC is an institution committed to welcoming, innovation, and student success, guiding its approach to team building, leadership development, and expanding mindsets. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities are preferred. This position requires employees to perform their assigned duties within the State of Colorado and accurately report their work location. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Teaching experience in continuing education or community education.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds.
  • Must be a resident of the State of Colorado and perform all work duties within the state.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Teach course load as assigned by the designated supervisor.
  • Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
  • Develop a professional relationship with students and staff that encourages teacher/student communication.
  • Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
  • When agreed upon and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
  • Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
  • Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy).

Benefits

  • Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5.
  • Pay Levels range from $20-$60 per hour.
  • Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.
