About The Position

Pratt Munson College of Art & Design is actively seeking dynamic and creative individuals to join our adjunct faculty for both studio and academic roles. Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent in Area of Expertise, MFA for Studio Areas
• Practicing artist or designer (studio classes only)
• Previous teaching experience is required
• Evidence of the ability to teach and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Computer literacy in database management, Microsoft and Google software expertise
• Ability to learn specialized software related to education (Canvas)
• Ability to operate general office equipment

• Sample syllabus from previously taught course

Responsibilities

• Teach studio art courses in areas such as 2D & 3D Design, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, Photography, and Sculpture.
• Teach academic courses in areas such as English, Art History, and Social Sciences.
• Collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Model the values and culture of the organization to colleagues and the public by being welcoming, inclusive, and respectful.
• Value collaboration across the organization.
