About The Position

The University of Maryland Global Campus is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administration (CMIT 380) remotely to stateside applicants. The course is a lab-based exploration that prepares students to use Microsoft Endpoint Administration. It covers deploying, configuring, securing, and maintaining modern endpoint devices using Microsoft solutions, including Intune, Entra ID, and Windows client management. Topics include endpoint deployment, application management, identity and access management, security policies, and troubleshooting. Hands-on exercises and industry-aligned assessments help students develop skills to implement modern endpoints that meet organizational business needs. UMGC provides a standardized, pre-designed course model, including rubrics, open educational resources, library resources, and digital textbooks. Faculty focus on mentoring, facilitating learning, and providing feedback rather than building courses. Teaching is asynchronous, with flexibility in daily scheduling as long as weekly grading, responsiveness, and engagement milestones are met. Newly hired faculty receive online orientation and ongoing professional development. The course is 100% online and asynchronous, runs in eight-week sessions, and is a three-credit course. Class sizes are typically 25–35 students, with smaller sections for select courses. The role requires a substantial commitment throughout the term to students’ academic, social, personal, and professional growth. Applicants must be local to the area in which they apply to teach; UMGC does not provide logistical support. Applicants must maintain their own legal status in the country where they apply to teach.
