About The Position

La Salle University's Environmental Science and Public Health programs are seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a course in Fall 2026. This course will focus on using QGIS software for environmental science and public health applications. It is a single, crosslisted course serving both environmental science undergraduate majors and public health master's students. The course is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, running from August 31, 2026, to December 11, 2026, with final exams extending through December 18, 2026. The course provides an overview of GIS concepts and applications, emphasizing hands-on laboratory work with QGIS for data manipulation, analysis, visualization, and illustration. It also includes reflection on ethical considerations related to using sensitive electronic information in public health.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in environmental science, public health, or a related field.
  • Practical experience with ArcGIS or QGIS software.

Responsibilities
