About The Position

The College of Natural Sciences at Grand Canyon University (GCU) is seeking passionate and engaging faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction in General Biology I Lab for the Fall 2026 Semester at our Phoenix campus. This lab course is designed to reinforce lecture principles through experiments and activities that complement and enhance understanding of macromolecules, cell membrane properties, cellular components, and their contribution to cell structure and function. Assignments will relate cellular processes such as metabolism, cell division, and the flow of genetic information to cell structure. GCU is a Christ-centered higher education institution that integrates faith, learning, and work, and values diversity among its students, faculty, and staff.

Requirements

  • Master's in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in Biology emphasizing biochemistry or physiology or cellular function

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate or Master's in a Biological Science with emphasis in biochemistry or physiology or cellular function

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
