About The Position

The Program in Disaster Science, Emergency Management & Homeland Security within the Department of Sociology & Anthropology in the Ric Edelman College of Communication, Humanities & Social Sciences at Rowan University seeks applicants for a talent pool of candidates for adjunct instructors to fill adjunct teaching positions as they become available. This role involves teaching a minimum of one course and a maximum of two courses per semester. The positions can be for typical undergraduate courses such as Introduction to Emergency Management & Homeland Security, Research Methods, Borders and Ports of Entry, Homeland Security, Critical Infrastructure, Incident Command, and upper-division courses. Sample graduate courses include All-Hazards Threat Response Management, Cybersecurity, Cyber Defense, Advanced Exercise Design, and Public Budgeting and Finance in Emergency Management.

Requirements

  • Earned a master’s degree or beyond from a regionally accredited university in emergency management, public administration, public health, management, or a related field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
  • A terminal degree is expected for graduate-level teaching.

  • Experience in the field is desirable.

Benefits
