About The Position

The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Rowan University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions in a number of courses both at the undergraduate and graduate level. We seek energetic and innovative teacher-scholars, committed to excellence in engineering education to join our dedicated family of faculty members. Applicants with expertise in all fundamental areas of civil and environmental engineering are invited to apply to teach courses that include Statics, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources Engineering, Surveying, Surface Hydrology, Watershed Principles, Water and Wastewater Treatment and Design, and Senior Capstone Design. We also have needs for our senior/graduate electives in core areas of structural, water resources, geotechnical and transportation engineering.

Requirements

  • Earned at least a Master of Science degree, preferably a PhD, in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional licensure is required to teach upper-level design courses.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary student and faculty teams.
  • Ability to teach in a project based setting.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in Civil & Environmental Engineering.
  • Teach courses in areas such as Statics, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Water Resources Engineering, Surveying, Surface Hydrology, Watershed Principles, Water and Wastewater Treatment and Design, and Senior Capstone Design.
