About The Position
Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) is seeking potential applicants for credit adjunct teaching positions in Communication Studies & Theater. This role involves teaching basic first-year communication courses focusing on public speaking, presentation, interpersonal, and intercultural communication. The schedule may include a combination of day, evening, online, and/or hybrid courses. A teaching demonstration may be required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Communication Studies, Speech Communication, or a related field, or a Master's degree in Theater or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a community college setting.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive pedagogy.
Nice To Haves
- Community college teaching experience.
- Experience with online and hybrid course delivery.
- Experience teaching public speaking, interpersonal communication, and intercultural communication.
