About The Position

Lesley University's department of Business is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach CBUSN 3202 - Business in a Legal Context for the Fall Semester 2026. The course will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:10 am to 12:25 pm, in-person on campus. This course examines the legal principles and regulatory frameworks that affect business operations. It begins with an overview of the contemporary legal environment, the structure and function of the court system, and the foundational concepts of crimes and torts. The primary focus of the course is the study of common law contracts and contracts governed by the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), including sales and leases of goods. Additional topics include product liability, agency law, and the legal structures and governance of business organizations.

Requirements

  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • Successful experience teaching business courses at the undergraduate level
  • Demonstrated commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and equitable teaching practices
  • Experience in constructivist inquiry-based learning
  • Ability to teach concepts in ways that are accessible, relevant, and engaging
  • Experience using learning management systems and educational technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
