Adjunct Faculty - CAS Department of Art (Open Continuous)
About The Position
American University, a student-centered research institution in Washington, DC, is seeking adjunct faculty for its Department of Art within the College of Arts & Sciences. This is an open continuous vacancy announcement for upcoming Academic Years. The department is looking for candidates qualified to teach in Art History (BA and/or MA), Graphic Design (BA), and Studio Art (BA and/or MFA). The rank will be determined by the applicant's highest degree earned in Art. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The College of Arts and Sciences is where scholarship in the Arts, Humanities, and Sciences is pursued.
Requirements
- Qualified to teach in the fields of Art History (BA and/or MA), Graphic Design (BA), and Studio Art (BA and/or MFA).
- Must deliver services to the university from either the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia, or perform work on-site at the university.
