About The Position

Bergen Community College is seeking applications for adjunct positions within the Criminal Justice division for the Fall and Winter 2026 terms. The Criminal Justice Department and Legal Studies division offers a foundational understanding of criminal justice, homeland security, and emergency management, focusing on developing critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills essential for public service careers. The Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice prepares students for transfer to baccalaureate programs and provides a comprehensive overview of the criminal justice system, fostering competency in interpersonal and group interactions. Graduates are prepared for careers in Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement, the Federal, State Court/Judiciary, correctional facilities, and corporate/private security firms.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Criminal Justice
  • At least one year of college teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, and Criminology.
