About The Position

This is a Part-Time Faculty Pool for available assignments during the academic year. The role involves teaching and supervising students using approved curriculum, syllabi, assessments, and instructional standards. It requires utilizing effective teaching methods, technology, and educational resources to support student learning. The position also entails assessing student performance, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate instructional records. Advising and supporting students regarding academic progress and connecting them with appropriate College resources is crucial. The role supports student recruitment, retention, engagement, and overall success. Participation in curriculum development, program assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives is expected. Maintaining positive and professional relationships with students, colleagues, administration, and the community is important. The position requires completing required reports, forms, meetings, and institutional responsibilities in a timely manner, as well as participating in professional development and maintaining current knowledge of effective instructional practices. Adherence to College policies and procedures is mandatory. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Art or Art History from a regionally accredited college / university
Master's degree in Fine Arts or Studio Art (Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Photography or Ceramics) from a regionally accredited college / university or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Studio Art
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as intermediate computer skills.
Must be familiar with interactive teaching methods and instruction via the Internet.
Working knowledge of Blackboard course management system
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and the ability to use them responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with organizational guidelines.
Requires the provision of official transcripts and/or certifications within (30) days of hire.
Applicants with academic credentials from non-U.S. accredited institutions are required to have their coursework evaluated in terms of U.S. "equivalency."
This position requires a criminal history and/or motor vehicle records check.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Art History or Studio Art
At least one year of teaching experience at the college or university level.
