About The Position
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking an Addictions Counsellor for a full-time temporary position at Lloydminster Community Services. This role involves providing screening and assessment for addictions, facilitating group-based programming, offering individual and group counselling, performing intake services, and conducting preventive education through community outreach. The position reports to the Manager of Adult Mental Health and Addiction Services and requires a Bachelor's degree acceptable to the employer. Preference will be given to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree acceptable to the employer
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Knowledge in addictions specific twelve core functions
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months including a vulnerable sector search (required for interview)
