About The Position

As a member of the interdisciplinary team and under the general direction of the Out-of-Scope Manager or Addiction Counsellor Degree Senior, this role is responsible for the day-to-day client services delivery, including development, implementation, delivery, and assistance with evaluation of Addiction Services. The position also performs clinical management, community education, and community development. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Chemical Dependency
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of chemical dependency/co-dependency and effect on the family unit.
  • Knowledge in Motivational Assessment Process
  • Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate referrals
  • Ability to treat effects of substance use on an adolescent and family unit
  • Promote healthy lifestyles in urban & rural settings with diverse populations
  • Strong knowledge of policies and procedures established by Addiction Services
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
  • Knowledge of addictions and integrated human service delivery services
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills
  • Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
  • Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.
